Oceans of Hope and Despair Slicing the skin I sink deeper. Deeper into this darkness that holds me. Swimming in seas of crimson blood. I look for land a place to call my own. Seeing none I sink beneath the surface then rise again. The blood covers my eyes not letting me see what is clearly in front of me. A flash of light and then it's gone. I clear the blood from my eyes and look once more for land, but the darkness surrounds me. The blood thick and sticky pulls me deeper into its depths.
